"White and Hot" is a artwork that takes form in a digital. It is comprised of designs and a poem, both works which were rendered and composed by me.

The themes of this work centers around self-awareness and how that plays out through identifiers, namely race/ethnicity. It provides a perspective as to how one's ability to identify themselves is merely based on a reflection of how others choose to identify them and others.
The work was meant for digital distribution--specifically for Instagram--as a comment on how the platform can act a medium for art itself, and as a blatant display for the ways our identifiers are used for and against us.
